Shakugan no Shana
Synopsis: The world has become a land of slaughter for Carmesim habons, mysterious beings of a parallel universe that thrives with the vital energy of human beings. These merciless murderers leave behind little remains of souls called "torches", which are mere waste that will eventually be destroyed, along with the very fact of the existence of the victims of the minds of the living. In an ambitious venture to end this invisible and hungry massacre, the warriors called the flames tirelessly fighting these monsters.
A fateful day, Yuuji Sakai is no longer a regular high school student - he gets stuck in a slit of time and is suddenly attacked by a inhabitant. Coming to her help in time only is a nameless hunter who does not seem different from an ordinary young woman except her burning eyes and Carmesim hair burning. However, before Yuuji can learn more about his situation, he discovers that he has already been reduced to a torch - especially a piece of memory waiting to extinguish.
