Synopsis: In professional sumo, there are no weight classes. It is a wild sport where the strongest survive, and anyone willing to test their courage can enter the ring. However, there is a minimum size requirement to be a Sumo fighter, and the young Hinomaru Ushio, as talented and hardworking, does not meet this requirement. This small boy has great dreams in achieving the highest class of Sumo, Hinoshita Kaisan. The only way to become professional is if he becomes the High School Yokozuna, a title given to the strongest fighter in the high school tournaments.

Ushio is under a lot of pressure, plus a time limit. If he cannot show his skills in high school tournaments, he may lose his chance to become professional permanently, and the probabilities are against him. Instead of enrolling in Ishigami High, Japan's best Sumo school, he enrolled in Odachi High and should build a sumo club from the beginning with the devoured Shinya Ozeki.
